The Venue

Lotus Yoga Retreat is located at the south end of Patnem Beach. The comfortable huts made out of bamboo, palm leaves and straw give you the necessary luxury without taxing the environment. All the huts have ocean view. The comfortable huts are made out of bamboo, palm leaves and straw give you the necessary luxury without taxing the environment. Your balcony comes equipped with Asian day-bed and hammocks are suspended from the trees for your relaxation. Thanks to our privileged location at the end of the beach you can rest assured that the nights are perfectly silent and you can fall asleep to the sound of the waves. It is the perfect spot to 'retreat' or 'escape by foot' to beachfront shops and restaurants a few minutes away.

Our food concept is healthy, tasty and wherever possible organic. One main meal is offered each day and includes fresh tropical fruit, homemade organic yoghurt, vegetarian dishes (delicious even for those not used to vegetarian food), dhal, rice, salads, herbal teas and chai. Throughout the day you can order small snacks, vitamin and health-booster juices and fresh tropical fruit. In the evening, the restaurant menu changes daily. Our chefs creatively prepare local, seasonal produce giving you a selection of delicious dishes to choose from. Fish is also included as an option in our evening menu because the seafood in Goa is very fresh and tasty.

The Yoga

We'll study the inner and outer techniques of vinyasa that tie the poses together in a ‘moving meditation'; develop the ‘inner limbs' of yoga to develop focus and concentration skills that enhance clarity of mind; use the breath to feel safe enough to move through difficult poses and work honestly at your edge; shift energy in problem areas (hips & shoulders); restorative yoga; learn use yoga as a healing/transformational tool to move through fear and release hardness in the body; experience deep inner peace and insight; learn to be at ease in the present moment. Develop a daily practice so inspiring you'll want to get on your mat as soon as you get home. Be a yogi for life!

This workshop will inspire and challenge all levels of yoga student. In the past, participants have ranged in age from 19 - 57. Beginners are welcome as long as you have some yoga experience, are relatively fit and willing to try.
